This report estimates that approximately 50 million people were living in modern slavery. 19 million of those are sex trafficking, the majority being children and women. Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime in the world, NASDAQ 2023 report states an estimated $346.7bn in illicit profits, that's more than double from a similar report in 2021. Children are sold for as little as $100 - $200.
